DERRY CITY 3 BRAY WANDERERS 2
Bray's unbeaten run came to a not really deserved end at the Brandywell, where many dreams have come to grief.
Bray went ahead just before the break when Kieran "Marty" Waters raced onto a long ball from Danny O'Connor, beating Simon Madden and Ryan McBride and picking his spot to beat Ger Doherty.
But there was a long way to go, and it took until the hour for the Derry attack to contrive anything of substance against the visitors, but then they came back with a lovely cross by Pat McEleney met by the head of Stephen McLaughlin and into Darren Quigley's net.
Six minutes later, the home side took the lead with a pounce on a bounced ball, the Bray defence caught flat-footed while McLaughlin waltzed into range and shot to the bottom of the far corner.
But Danny O'Connor equalised on 72 minutes, heading home from Dean Zambra's cross after Kevin Knight's corner.
Four minutes after that, the Candystripes went ahead when Ryan McBride headed to the net from Pat McEleney's flag-kick.
However, despite spirited and sustained counter-attacking, the Seagulls couldn't quite manage to restore their equality.
