BRAY WANDERERS 2 BOHEMIAN FC 1
Bray moved three places up the Premier Division table with a hard-fought victory over Bohemians.
Jason Byrne opened the scoring, showing a fine turn of speed to round Evan McMillan and fire left-footed at Craig Sexton's far post.
But less than a quarter of an hour later, a loose clearance of Keith Ward's corner kick reached only as far as the same player, who fed a second ball into the area. Dinny Corcoran's well-timed leap allowed him to head past Darren Quigley.
Half an hour later, Bray skipper Danny O'Connor restored the home lead with a neat header, the third in a series that started with a Kevin Knight free near the left sideline.
From then on, however, the Seagulls had to work hard to resist a determined onslaught from the Gypsies, though in the five minutes of time added, it seemed they might pull further ahead.
But even though Byrne's 94th minute shot was blocked by what seemed to be the arm of former Seagull Derek Pender, the insurance wasn't needed.
