Match Report: Bray Wanderers 0-3 Cork City

BRAY WANDERERS 0   CORK CITY 3

Wanderers saw another match get away from them in fairly easy style when Cork visited the Carlisle Grounds.

Tadhg Purcell, who scored in the fourth minute when the teams last met, left it later on this occasion - a minute later, to be precise.

Daryl Horgan floated in a cross from the right, which Purcell met with his head and directed cleanly past Darren Quigley.

Half an hour later, Colin Healy crossed from the right and Shane Duggan was on hand at the back post to side-foot past Quigley.

Though Bray were showing more attacking verve in the rarly part of the second period, they were unable to make good on their threat.

And five minutes past the hour mark, Shane Duggan set up Cork's third with a neat ball through the Seagulls' back four. Vinny Sullivan hopped around Quigley and passed into the empty net.

Try as they might, especially in the final minutes (including five minutes stoppage time), Bray couldn't seem to find an answer to the Cork presence.

An the sending off of Cork substitute Vinny Stephen Kenny within six minutes of his introduction made little difference to the outcome.
